Opening day in Cincinnati is always a declared holiday here.  The Mets won today, 2-1 but we hope that Aaron Herrang will have a better year than last year's.  We no longer have Ken Griffey Jr. or  Adam Dunn in the line up, so runs are going to be hard to come by.  We might get third place if we're lucky.  I plan to go to 8 more games this year (3 games in Cleveland in late June to see the Reds play the Indians).  We only got 3 hits today, so I just hope they can improve on that Wednesday night.

Well Julia we split the series so I guess we'll have to wait till the next series for bragging rights.  From what I saw the Pirates look like a talented bunch.
The Cards finished up a series sweep of the Astros today.  I hope we can keep it going!

Looks like the Reds/Pirates series her in Cincy was a split.  Friday's game a rain out, they won on Saturday 10-2(), but Herrang really put on a show yesterday with the 2-0 win, a 3 hit shutout of The Pirates.  Aaron's back (we hope)!
