Once again, we got lucky from the meterological point. Last night it was freezing rain and getting slick & ice starting to form on trees (though nothing major). Then around 10:00 p.m., the rain just poured. I was terrified at the thought of getting up (the place doesn't close up shop for bad weather) let alone driving 20 miles. Woke up at 3:00 a.m. stepped outside and it wasn't slick and lo & behold no ice on windshield of van (I had parked truck on next street up the hill)....It had warmed up to 35 or 36 degrees overnight. A little glaze on the highway, but nothing serious...The wind is what made driving difficult...
More rain here today, Earl. I'm only guessing, but we have probably had 10" or more in the last week. Oh well, at least it ain't frozen!
Earl, we had around 1/4 in of ice that shut down school Friday, so we have a 17 day vacation now. Hope that's all the ice we get.
