Good Morning Everyone,
Off to Church for the Third Lenten Breakfast of the Season. Mike G.
Good mornin', Mr. G! So how was Mike's big adventure "down South"?
Good Morning Mike and Mike!
OK Mike B.,
I wasn't sure I was going to do this because I'm still on Cloud #9 over last Weekend. Dear Herby picked me up at the Nashville Airport Friday Morning at 10:30 after perfect Southwest Airlines flights. We went over to Adventure Studio's so I could put on shorts and off to the Hermitage Golf Course. We played the old Course that we played a couple of Years ago in the Smuckers Tourney. It was as nice as I remembered it. After a great Golf match $1.00 exchanged hands that's pretty even teams. We showered and met The Queen, Mickey & Hunter at the Macaroni Grill for Dinner. That was also great and we headed for the Opry. I got to go in the Artist Door and on to Dressing Room 18. I got to meet and get my Photo taken with Pete Fisher, The Whites, Del McCoury, Connie Smith, Riders In The Sky, Ricky Skaggs, Bill Anderson(in a NY Yankee's Jacket) and of Course Rhonda Vincent. I may be partial, but Rhonda was the class of the field. We went back to Rhonda & Herb's and Drove some Nails reminiscing of an awesome Night. Of course the Bus headed for Mike B's Show in Mississippi. Saturday Morning off to Cracker Barrel for Breakfast then back to the Hermitage for a crack at the New Course "President's Reserve" and it was so nice we switched and played it again on Sunday. Then back for a Shower and on to another Restaurant for Dinner. We had to take the Knuckleheads Downtown for the Tourist stuff. Tootsie's, Legends, etc...Then on to the Station Inn to see Jim Lauderdale. Herb had to say Hello to Jim from Rhonda. Booie Beech came in from Marty Raybon's Band so we talked about the Cruise a little. Sunday early Tee Time's so Breakfast at Hardie's then back to the Golf Course. It was the Ugliest of Rounds for everybody I think we all were just worn out. They dropped me at the Airport and back to MO for the Kirksville Golf Team. My Flight's home were a Nightmare as Chicago Airports both closed for two hours screwing up all Flight's. I walked in the door at home at 2:15am. Monday I was in a fog most of the day, but I am so fortunate to be able to go with Herb & Rhonda. I have to thank them for a unforgettable Weekend I will alway's remember. Your Guy's are the Greatest! Mike G.
It's a tough job, Mike, but someone
has to do it. I'm not a golfer, but I know what it means to have homeboys who depend on you for moral support.
