Scott & Karen,
Although we only share being Ragers as a common bond, never have met in person, it is always nice to be updated about a member of the extended Rager Family. I could sense the joy in your note. Now, I also have an inquiry for you. Can anyone be a sponsor to the residents that are in your special care home? If there was a Holiday (we still refer to it as Christmas) 'wish list' that someone could sponsor a resident, it would also assist you and Karen in being able to provide other essentials for the residents. Jim and I do this with Toys for Tots that the USMC locally organize each year, there is no list,it is all anonymously random. It would be especially meaningful if we knew we were sponsoring a person with a gift directly. Please click on my name to send a reply email. In keeping the relevance to the MB, I know we would gladly buy RV items ( t's, hats, cd's) if they appear on the wish list

Hey Scott,

I would love to help sponsor a resident as well.  My great Aunt lived in a special needs home for the majority of her life.  She absolutely LOVED it there.  We lost her to cancer about 10 years ago, and I still think of her every time an Elvis song comes on.  He was her favorite.  She also LOVED Christmas time and was always so excited on Christmas day.  I miss her excitement on that day.

Anyway, I would love to help.  Do they like bluegrass music?  Feel free to email me, and let me know how I can help y'all out.

God Bless,

Courtney

Scott, You and Karen are doing a wonderful thing.

Please post a list of the names, and their birthday,  along with your address; we could host a card shower for them on their birthday.  And anyone could send a Christmas card, if they chose; if you're allowed to post their names like that.

Greetings Scott & Karen,

I agree 100% with Jane, Courtney and Rhonda.
Thanks for posting your guest's first names and b-date's.
I too will make a good effort to send cards and maybe a
group treat!
Thanking you both for providing a much needed home.

Wish we all could attend Rhonda's Bass Pro Shop event
and her singing before the Kansas City Chief's & S.D.
CHARGER'S game this weekend!

Wishing you the best and a mild winter!  Karen

We were on the cruise the year you two went so I'm sure I'd remember your faces if I saw a picture but right now I just remember the names not the faces. I am a retired special education teacher. I had mental and physical disabilities and would be tickled to help out. Please send sizes with first names I'll send t-shirts for those who could wear them or if some need hospital type tops I sew and would love to do it. Just email. Thanks for all you do! Thanks for this info. I would like to participate. I am a volunteer at the Hospice Home in my area. I visit with patients that have no visitors. I hold their hand at the (end of life) EOL. Keep up the good work. There are so many, at the EOL.

Thanks for doing that Celilia. The only people I have done that with were my own mom, dad, and father-in-law. I'm glad I could be there for them and am glad that you do it for those who don't have anyone. God Bless You! Mary
